Utah State University Gateway Parking Terrace
Ralph L Wadsworth Construction
The Utah State University Gateway Parking Terrace, designed by Elliott Workgroup, features USU’s largest photovoltaic array, increasing the university’s solar capacity by more than 50%. The system generates enough electricity to power 26 homes annually while avoiding 151 metric tons of carbon dioxide emissions. Transparent stair and elevator towers at each corner enhance visibility and safety, while integrated staff spaces, ADA-accessible amenities, and event-ready drop-off zones support daily campus use and major events.
Reaveley Engineers provided structural solutions that balance efficiency, durability, and constructability, enabling a low-profile, four-story structure designed for long-term performance and adaptability. Ralph L. Wadsworth led construction, delivering a resilient, high-quality facility with precision.
