Weber School District West Field High School
Hogan & Associates Construction
West Field High School established a safe, adaptable environment in which the structural design supports both education and community life. The 350,000-square-foot campus was organized into three seismically separated sections, enhancing performance on liquefiable soils while maintaining a seamless student experience. Reaveley Engineers provided a slab-on-grade system that eliminated traditional ties and accelerated construction.
Custom trusses shaped offset roof planes, bringing natural light deep into common areas while supporting long-span open-web steel joists. Masonry shear walls anchored high-capacity spaces such as the gymnasium and auditorium, ensuring durability for large events.
