The San Juan County Public Safety Building is undergoing a comprehensive renovation to address urgent health, safety, and operational challenges. Serving as the main courthouse, sheriff’s office, and correctional facility, the building will receive essential upgrades, including improved inmate housing, medical care, intake procedures, and support services such as kitchen and laundry.
The renovations focus on critical gaps in current health and safety measures, modernizing infrastructure, and expanding capacity to meet the county’s growing needs. Upgrades will enhance administrative, educational, and rehabilitation areas, courtrooms, police operations, building systems, and outdoor spaces.
