OSHA Salt Lake Technical Center
The Salt Lake Technical Center is home to OSHA’s National Laboratory, National Health Response Team, and OSHA’s electronic-compliance assistance tool development services. The building functions as the national laboratory for comprehensive lab testing of products and processes – air and water quality, soils, strength of materials, hazardous materials, sound, light, etc. – that relate to the American workplace. It houses some of the most sophisticated and technically advanced equipment, including robotics, to provide extensive tests and analyses of samples collected from work sites throughout the country. In addition to laboratory space, the facility includes 21,000 sf of office space, six conference rooms and a seminar/ training room that seats 140. The center was the first to receive a LEED Silver certification in Utah and one of the first LEED certified office/laboratories in the United States.
