Utah State University Monument Valley Academic Building
Big-D Contractors
Utah State University is developing a 10,000 SF education and Community Center near Monument Valley High School to serve students and residents of the Navajo Nation. The facility will include modern classrooms, computer labs, a nursing and CNA lab, welding and CTE spaces, small business development areas, and rooms for adult education and USU Extension programs.
Designed to support distance learning, concurrent enrollment, and academic pathways from certificates to doctoral degrees, the center will also feature flexible spaces for public events and community gatherings. The project reflects USU's commitment to expanding access to high-quality education in rural communities. Supported by the Utah Legislature, Navajo Nation leaders, the Oljato Chapter, and generous donors, the center fosters opportunity, collaboration, and lifelong learning in the heart of the Navajo Nation.
