A focused interest in mass timber structural systems informs Emily Williamson's approach to engineering challenges, blending research, performance, and practical application. She brings thoughtful, research-driven insight that helps clients make confident structural decisions while advancing durable, well-performing design solutions.

She earned her PhD from the University of Utah, where her research on mass timber buckling restrained braced frames was published in the ASCE Journal of Structural Engineering. Her work earned the 2023 Wood Engineering Achievement Award – Young Engineer from the Forest Products Society, reflecting a commitment to innovation grounded in real-world constructability. She is dedicated to understanding project goals and delivering solutions that align performance, constructability, and long-term value.

Emily is also passionate about supporting women in structural engineering and mentoring emerging professionals, helping strengthen confidence, visibility, and inclusion within the profession.

Beyond the office, she is a Washington native who enjoys hiking, skiing, and sailing when visiting family. She also values cooking with her husband, Chris, and is known for her chocolate chip cookies and carrot cake.
