The 22-acre University of Utah Eccles Health Campus and Eccles Hospital in West Valley is set to become the west side’s first fully integrated medical institution. Designed by Method Studio, the campus will feature an emergency department, 130 inpatient rooms, 200 exam rooms, and support spaces serving nearly 50 medical specialties.

With Okland Construction as general contractor, the University of Utah will deliver the campus in multiple phases. The initial phase, anticipated for 2028, will introduce a multispecialty outpatient center offering emergency services, exam rooms, and select specialty care.

Reaveley Engineers is delivering structural solutions that support the campus’s phased growth, long-term resilience, and complex healthcare requirements. Future phases will add inpatient beds, labor and delivery rooms, expanded surgical facilities, and a range of patient and community focused amenities, including a retail and specialty pharmacy, café and coffee shop, wellness spaces, a chapel, and community gathering areas, creating a comprehensive healthcare destination that offers lasting value and peace of mind for West Valley and the surrounding region.
