Salt Lake City Main Library Rooftop Garden Replacement
Paulsen Construction
Completed in May 2025, the Salt Lake City Public Library’s Main Library Rooftop Terrace underwent a transformative renovation to restore and reimagine one of the city’s most iconic public spaces. Originally opened in 2003, the rooftop had experienced two decades of wear and weather exposure. The $10 million renovation project revitalized the expansive 20,000-square-foot terrace, enhancing its functionality, sustainability, and visual appeal.
The rooftop now serves as a flexible, multi-use space for library programs, community gatherings, and quiet reflection, offering panoramic views of the Salt Lake Valley. The renovation reflects the library’s commitment to sustainability, accessibility, and public engagement, ensuring the rooftop remains a vibrant urban oasis for years to come.
