Camp Colton Welcome Structure and Lodge Building Phase I
DHM Design
For more than 70 years, Camp Colton has inspired generations of students. Its $6.7 million Phase I modernization secures this legacy for the future. Owned by Flagstaff Unified School District and supported by Friends of Camp Colton, this 35-acre outdoor education campus in the Coconino National Forest is expanding access to hands-on, nature-based learning.
The new 6,517-square-foot lodge more than doubles the capacity of the original Wilson Lodge, providing flexible space for dining, instruction, and community gatherings. DHM Design and ajc architects leads the design, thoughtfully shaping spaces that foster accessibility, environmental stewardship, and long-term adaptability.
Reaveley Engineers is delivering structural solutions that provide clarity, durability, and resilience in a forested environment. By strengthening this campus, the project creates lasting educational impact while reinforcing trusted partnerships and community investment.
