To accommodate the growing needs of Salt Lake City's population, three new homeless shelters opened their doors in 2019: the Geraldine E. King Women's Resource Center, Gail Miller Resource Center for men, and the Pamela Atkinson Resource Center housing 300 adult men, trans men, and nonbinary adults.

The secure facilities provide critical services and space for individuals to stay at all hours of the day. Case management, job services, food, storage, and housing services are all on site. The centers are served by mobile health clinics.
