Located just off the Southern Utah University campus, the Beverley Taylor Sorenson Center for the Arts is a collaboration of state, federal and private funds.
The Southern Utah Museum of Art is a single-story structure with reconfigurable exhibit space in five adaptable galleries to accommodate traveling exhibits. Hands-on educational activities for K-12 school groups take place in classroom and studio space. About 5,300 square feet of the building is dedicated to storage, care and research areas. The building design enables visitors to have a behind-the-scenes glimpse of the Museum's collections.
With a roof that hovers just beyond its footprint, the museum shelters an inviting plaza for receptions and public events.
