The expansion Brigham Young University’s football stadium added 30,000 seats for a total capacity of 65,000. The field itself was lowered to accommodate the additional seating.
Expansion of this 50,000-seat football stadium helped facilitate the 2002 Salt Lake City Winter Olympics opening and closing ceremonies and continues to serve the University of Utah football games. The new concrete steel stadium area includes luxury suites, a press box and plenty of bathrooms.
Built to help with University of Utah recruiting and to keep pace with other PAC-12 schools, the football center includes training and sports medicine facilities, 60-seat team auditorium, weight room, 250-seat cafeteria, offices, individual meeting rooms, and equipment areas. A two-level observation deck overlooks practice fields and the Salt Lake Valley.
This indoor aquatic area includes a multi-use pool with 10 swimming lanes that is used by local area high schools for practices and meets. A recreation pool features a lazy river, toddler pool, a spa, and a splash-down pool with two water slides. In addition to locker rooms for men and women, the center also offers a family locker area.
Opened in 1968, the home field to the Utah State Aggies has a seating capacity of just over 22,000. The venue had undergone improvements only a few times and was woefully in need of adequate restroom and concession spaces and it offered no premium ticket holder experience.
Over 10 years in the making, the facility was designed with families in mind. The center offers 18 family changing rooms, indoor and outdoor playgrounds and a child watch center. Other amenities include three gymnasiums, a MAC court, five different bodies of water (dynamic slide, aerobics pool, lap and competition swimming, children’s splash pool and a lazy river).
The Student Life Center is the hub of social and recreational space on the University of Utah campus. It includes gymnasiums, dance studios, climbing and bouldering walls, a running track, an outdoor adventure center, cardiovascular and weight spaces, racquetball, squash, indoor lap and recreational pools, food service, social spaces, administrative offices, and meeting spaces.
Centrally located on the Utah Valley University campus, the Student Life Center connects the existing student center to the PE building. The four-story center includes exercise and fitness spaces, recreation rooms, a wellness center, student life offices, study rooms, and a reflection room.
